US Yelloway-Pioneer System and UK YellowaY

[edit]

They both use the YellowaY tradename with the final capital Y. In the USA that Y-to-Y was said to be a reference to the role of the Yelloway-Pioneer System as the first transcontinental bus route in the United States. Conceived in 1927, pioneering runs in 1928, first LA-NY trip on 11 September 1928 and finally merged into Greyhound Lines in 1929. At what level were the two companies related?
