Administration[edit]

The edits I made were not due to POV problems. I changed the writing style to be more encyclopedic and I removed the names that were not major admins. I'd like undo this diff but will wait for comments. If a different edit that accomplishes the same goal of an encyclopedic tone is suggested that would also work. Thanks Joe407 (talk) 15:05, 22 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Can you please explain why you think that the detail about the admin. should be omitted? Yehoishophot Oliver (talk) 01:22, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
From what I've seen on WP, university articles do not give a comprehensive list of faculty, but rather will list top administrators and perhaps a few independently notable faculty. The same holds true for primary and secondary schools. There is no need to list each 3rd grade teacher or high school coach. I feel the same should hold true for yeshivos. For a yeshiva, the key players should be listed: Rosh yeshiva, mashgiach, (in this case also the mashpia), and if there are independantly notable rabbonim then they should be noted as "notable faculty". What I saw in this article was a list of every rebbe. I'm sure that Rabbi Mordechai Szmerling and Rabbi Shmuel Lesches are wonderful rabbeim but I don't think that they need to be noted in an encyclopedia article about YG. If you take a look at the diff in question you'll see that I left the main admins both current and founding. Does this sound ok to you? Joe407 (talk) 05:16, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you're saying and accept it. Though you left out the part about Reb Zalman Serebryanski, who was definitely a founding admin. Yehoishophot Oliver (talk) 17:23, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done. And Reb Serebryanski is there. Thank you for your input. Joe407 (talk) 05:13, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
