Notability and WP:Recentism

[edit]

The headlines that recently discussed this law firm relate to the six month suspension ordered against them, however, these lawyers have been defending human rights and alleged dissidents, free speech and free religion advocates for years. Several of them traveled to the US in recent years, and they have suffered at the hands of Chinese authorities for their political views and I personally consider them heroes.

With respect to WP:RECENTISM, the real question is why they hadn't had an article developed earlier, in my opinion. Their work has been acknowledged in U.N. Human Rights reports [1]. I am trying to pull together more sources of an official nature to buttress this, but there is more of a history than simply a headline in the past month.--Brad Patrick (talk) 04:15, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree. Law firms like this are hugely significant to the future of the PRC. The Sound and the Fury (talk) 04:23, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone know what the characters are? Which yi and which tong? Or even better, how to get in contact with them?Omishark (talk) 10:22, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
