Why was his citizenship revoked?

[edit]

This should be explained. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.167.227.192 (talk) 14:57, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Presumably because the Chinese Exclusion Act (or a revision of it, or a later similar law or provision) was given an unfavorable interpretation by an unsympathetic government official... AnonMoos (talk) 16:11, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This part really needs a citation as well:

Last paragraph about CERA

[edit]
It isn't grammatically correct and doesn't fit at all with the previous subject matter. Remove? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.179.20.152 (talk) 05:50, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Clarify?

[edit]

Can somebody clarify this statement;

In a 1902 letter from the US Secretary of State John Sherman, Yung was informed that his US citizenship that he had held for 50 years was revoked and he would not be allowed to return to the United States.

Sherman was only Sec of State until 1898, and he died in 1900. There was no cite following this that I can ref. Thanks - thewolfchild 22:19, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
