  • "Yuvaraja", this seems to be south Indian pronunciation of "Yuvraj", in all of North India the correct pronunciation is "Yuvraj".

For future reference, Yuvarāja is the original Sanskrit that Dravidian languages have preserved, while Indo-Aryan languages have dropped the a. See schwa deletion. Chronikhiles (talk) 15:08, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

YuvrajYuvarajaWP:NOPT. Jax 0677 (talk) 03:52, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Two spellings/pronunciations of the same word (युवराज) are the same topic. WP:NOPT is not relevant to this. It would help if you can show that yuvaraya is more common in reliable sources written in English — WP:COMMONNAME. @Chronikhiles: You may be interested in this request. {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 10:10, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reply - There are three pages aside from this one named "Yuvraj", Yuvraj Singh (Indian cricketer born in 1981), Yuvraj Singh (cricketer, born 1998) and Yuvraj Singh (politician). Therefore, WP:NOPT is a valid concern, and some type of disambiguation might be in order. --Jax 0677 (talk) 14:37, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I support this move. There are already more reliable sources that support Yuvaraja in the article than Yuvraj right now; I had added them in the past. Yuvaraja is also WP:CONSISTENT with Raja and Maharaja. Chronikhiles (talk) 05:04, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see now. I wasn't clear on why the spelling would make a difference to WP:PTOPIC based on the one-word explanation. Support per both above. {{replyto|SilverLocust}} (talk) 05:05, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
