not sure why this was tagged as puffery - i removed the reference to award-winning. Is this ok? Doupidou (talk) 00:03, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, that was the most conspicuous issue. I've fixed a couple more. --Tryptofish (talk) 00:58, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this, and for all the formatting also. Doupidou (talk) 01:01, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure i know why all the family relations were removed, but a single uncle was left (he is prof emeritus)? A prof emeritus aunt was removed... Could a section about family be included, or is this not appropriate for a person's page? Thanks in advance for your insight. Doupidou (talk) 01:03, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You are very welcome. Generally, family are not covered in that much detail in biographical pages here. I left the uncle because he also worked in neuroscience, and therefore seemed relevant. --Tryptofish (talk) 01:20, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
By way of further explanation, I should say that Wikipedia gets a lot of articles started about people in academia who do not really satisfy our criteria for notability, and the articles end up being deleted. That is why I wanted to make sure that the article here was not overselling the subject. --Tryptofish (talk) 01:25, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for this explanation. Much appreciated. Doupidou (talk) 01:47, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I note this is now tagged as COI, but without explanation. I also note this was tagged as COI by the same person who removed a piece of text that was not referenced. However, that part had been simply translated from the french wikipedia [1]. That is probably not a good reference, I agree. But can i remove the COI tag? Or can I submit this for revision somewhere? coi tag removal

[edit]

I read the help for maintenance template removal Help:Maintenance_template_removal#Addressing_the_flagged_problem. It says, in when to remove: Quote:

"If the maintenance template is not fully supported. Some neutrality-related templates, such as

(associated with the conflict of interest guideline) and

(associated with the neutral point of view policy), require the tagging editor to initiate a dialogue (generally on the article's talk page), to support the placement of the tag. If the tagging editor failed to do so, or the discussion is dormant, the template can be removed."

So i removed the tag. Doupidou (talk) 15:13, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
