Zalzala Jazeera -> Zalzala Koh

[edit]

This article can be renamed to Zalzala Jazeera. That's the name the island has now.Finishing Touch (talk) 15:52, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can you please cite a source for this? I don't find any sources claiming the name for this island! --    L o g  X   21:42, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well now it's reported as "Zalzala Koh" (meaning earthquake hill) e.g. by the BBC and various others. Naming the article that, would bring us into line with fr:Zalzala Koh -- Harry Wood (talk) 21:07, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This source is calling the island Zalzala Koh, and has provided dimensions being: • Area: 22 726 m² • Length: 175,7 m • Width: 160,9 m

Note also that different location coordinates appear on the satellite image provided at the source. Also the name Zalzala Koh is confirmed here

Location problem

[edit]

The geocoordinates are square in the middle of Gwadar, on dry land. Please fix.--Auric talk 22:46, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. One of the many adventurers boating out to the island and walking on it should take a GPS receiver along and note the coordinates, or maybe NASA or someone else will take a satellite picture we can use to figure out its exact location. -- ke4roh (talk) 16:08, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
On that front, are the first two satellite images here PD? They were taken by NASA's Earth Observing-1. Chris857 (talk) 20:43, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
