woman africa as a source[edit]

I'm not convinced that https://womenafrica.com/meet-zenab-issa-oki-soumaine-the-first-woman-commander-in-chad/ is a good source. It has no byline and appears to be a (poor) translation from French. "It was formed by Ethiopian Airlines." looks to me like a translation of "Elle a été formée par Ethiopian Airlines". So the question is: what is the real source? My guess is https://www.africatopsuccess.com/zenab-issa-oki-soumaine-1ere-femme-commandante-de-bord-au-tchad/ Vexations (talk) 02:32, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Vexations Thanks very much for pointing this out - I hadn't spotted it! It's a good learning point for me. (Lajmmoore (talk) 14:05, 12 March 2020 (UTC))[reply]
Lajmmoore, no problem. I have some other concerns. (Sigh... I know, I'm being THAT person). The article says she joined the "presidential air fleet in Chad." I'm not quite sure what that's supposed to be. Chad's president is not very likely to have a "fleet". Chad's national airline, Tchadia Airlines, has only two planes. But I cannot find any sources that mention who she flies for. The uniform she's wearing looks a lot like that of Ethiopian Airlines. Vexations (talk) 21:08, 12 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Vexations No, not at all - I took out the reference to "fleet" (which tbf could be journalistic hyperbole) but rephrased it say the president of Chad employed her. I think, from the other articles I look at the image in the Africa Top Success article is one that was taken when she graduated as a pilot, where she was part of the Ethiopian airlines pilot school. Thanks very much for the help. (Lajmmoore (talk) 18:32, 22 March 2020 (UTC))[reply]
