Merger discussion
[edit]I see this was never discussed, and meanwhile the article has recently been redirected to a new article, Central Stadium (Leipzig, GDR). I will be reverting that.
I agree this article should be merged. But rather than Bruno-Plache-Stadion, I believe a better merger target for this article is Red Bull Arena (Leipzig), the successor stadium. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:13, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- You are editing a too old version the Plache stadium is an other stadium at an other place. So it is impossible that it is the same stadium. Use the English name with the opening and closing time. The translation into Zentralstadion is included. Zentralstadion (1956) is either English nor exact enough with the year 1956. --Nukefirestadium (talk) 16:31, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
This is from 2005. That is never the Central Stadium! --Nukefirestadium (talk) 16:44, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- I have removed the merge tag, as the two stadia have no connection whatsoever other than being in the same city. —Kusma (t·c) 11:22, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- And I have redirected Central Stadium (Leipzig, GDR) here; I see no need for a duplicate article (as per the AFD). —Kusma (t·c) 11:27, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- Good. I'm glad someone merged them as was decided at the AfD! Thank you! Yngvadottir (talk) 16:47, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

Football National-team international matches
[edit]Is this section needed or appropriate? Zentralstadion is(was) a multi-purpose stadium with a long history. At least if there is not Spartakiade section, this section should not be. If no one disagree, I'd like to remove it. Thanks and Happy Holidays to everyone! RøedS (talk) 03:09, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry it's Sportfest. Spartakiade to be held in Bruno. Anyway, I delete the "Football National-team international matches" section as the reason above. RøedS (talk) 03:31, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
