Still Alive? Reached 100?[edit]

Without sources, not even in zh Wikipedia, it's impossible to tell whether this individual is still alive, or even reached 100 years old. A google search turned up nothing for me, although I can conjecture indirectly that he does in fact exist. Can anyone provide a source that he's still alive? That he reached 100 years old? Maybe in a non-English language? Cheers, CP 17:00, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

== Most recent story about Zheng Ji is cited on epochtimes.com (Chinese Edition, May 8, 2009) http://www.epochtimes.com/gb/9/5/8/n2519656.htm The story date was May 8, 2009 about celebrating his 109th birthday on May 6, 2009 at Nanjing University, 9 days before his actual birthday —Preceding unsigned comment added by Qqqq4 (talkcontribs) 17:13, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is he really 110 years old?[edit]

He's not dead? How do we know? Also, wasn't his birthday listed as May 15 before? --Farvin111 (talk) 19:18, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How do we know that anyone about whom we have an article is not dead? Do we demand daily updates from reliable sources confirming non-death? We know that he was alive a year ago and no source has been provided to say that he has died in the mean-time. The birth date of May 6 is verified by the source in the article, being the Wednesday before it was published. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:40, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Age of parents at death, etc.[edit]

Since he made super status (apparently) plus nearly 100 days, which is very rare for males, more background on whether or not he had a genetic advantage in doing so or it if was strictly a result of application of the dubious principle mentioned ("metabolic imbalance"), albeit carried out in an overall program that was effective. 72.228.177.92 (talk) 08:52, 30 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
