Potential additional controversies[edit]

A case where I did not find good enough referrences:

It has been claimed that a key patent contained under the Jiejing Licenses was questionable. Eric Chappell claimed rights to it, but a 1996 UK court decision https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/449553/o16596.pdf gave the rights to Ron Thomas and Helmut Stohr (GB Patent no. 2238414 B, https://www.ipo.gov.uk/p-ipsum/Case/PublicationNumber/GB2238414 https://patentscope.wipo.int/search/en/detail.jsf?docId=WO1990002992). It is claimed Thomas and Stohr then sold the patent to Tegic, which was then used in the 2002 court case, against Zi.
