Category:Croatian Roman Catholics[edit]

I removed the category per WP:BLPCAT:

Categories regarding religious beliefs (or lack of such) or sexual orientation should not be used unless the subject has publicly self-identified with the belief (or lack of such) or orientation in question, and the subject's beliefs or sexual orientation are relevant to their public life or notability, according to reliable published sources. (emphasis mine)

So, this is a two-pronged test, and self-identification is not sufficient by itself: one needs to illustrate the relevance of the category too, as specified above. I don't think relevance can be established in Dalić's case (unlike e.g. Čedo Antolić).

On the other hand, there is no problem with mentioning someone's religious beliefs, if they are reliably referenced. My only qualm here is that Dalić is described as a "practicing Roman Catholic", which is far from unique in Croatia and therefore barely worth mentioning, but I'm leaving it as it is for the time being. This sentence may legitimately be removed or expanded. GregorB (talk) 12:52, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
