Oldest city[edit]

"The town was the oldest city in the old USSR (CCCP)" This means, older than e.g. Yerevan or Tbilisi? Hard to believe. I delete the sentence. Fransvannes (talk) 14:57, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
