Latasha Transrina Kebe, known as Tasha K (born 10 March 1982) is an American comedian, celebrity news broadcaster and online personality. She has been featured on The Shade Room, TMZ, Billboard, Daily Mail, Essence, New York Post, Radar Online, Page Six, E! News, Rolling Stone, The Nick Cannon Show, Vibe, Complex and HuffPost.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

Early life and background

Tasha K was born in Panama City, Florida, United States, into a military family.[9] Due to her father being in the military, she lived in Germany for 3 years where she had her primary education and later relocated to Atlanta after completing high school education.[10] She attended A. D. Harris High School, Florida. She is married with 2 children.[11]

Career

Latasha is known for her YouTube UNWINEWITHTASHAK, which focuses on entertainment and celebrity news and scandals with a blend of comedy and wine tasting.[12] She has a combined social media following of over 2 million and over 3 billion views.[13][14] She also hosts The Wine Cellar podcast featured on TashaKLive.com.

As a comedian, she hosts the Come Tea comedy show,[15] and have made appearances on Nick Cannon's Wild 'n Out, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Nicki Minaj's Queen Radio and Love & Hip Hop.[16] She has also interviewed U.S presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., about his policies regarding black Americans.[17]

It was Tasha K's show that it was revealed that Will Smith have had gay sex with his fellow Bel-Air actor Duane Martin by his former associate and best friend,[18][19] Brother Bilaal.[20][21] Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith refuted this claim, and threatened to sue Tasha K.[22][23] Tasha K also disclosed the three-year clandestine relationship between August Alsina and Jada Pinkett Smith, revealing how Pinkett Smith ended the relationship because Alsina wanted to make it public.[24]

Tasha K revealed the news of Porsha Williams filing for a divorce from her estranged husband Dennis McKinley for engaging in cocaine use and infidelity.[25] These vices of his had already been highlighted during The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 11 by Kandi Burruss.[26]

It was Tasha K who unraveled that Wendy Williams' ex husband Kevin Hunter had a love child with Sharing Hudson,[27] while still married to Williams.[28][29]

Her take on Keke Palmer during the actress' separation from her former husband, Darius Jackson, implied that Palmer allowed the public to believe her ex husband was abusive because he no longer wanted to be with her.[30]

She unraveled that Nene Leakes, a former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, was linked to a much younger man named Temper BoI, who is a barber shop owner and promoter.[31][32] In an interview with podcaster Tasha K, Temper Boi discussed his relationship with Leakes, mentioning they were together two days before she went viral with her new boyfriend.[33][34]

Tasha K gave a congratulatory message to Ice Cube and spouse about their long-lasting marriage and compared Ice Cube to Denzel Washington, another actor known for a long-lasting marriage.[35] She also criticized Ashanti for rekindling her relationship with Nelly whom she once had a decade-long relationship with.[36] Jaguar Wright blamed Tasha K for her recent arrest, however, Tasha K denied having any involvement with Wright's arrest.[37] Tasha K was involved in an online feud with Sukihana, criticizing her behavior, appearance and overall persona.[38][39][40]

Tasha K faced a lawsuit from rapper Cardi B in a 2019, filed in the US District of Georgia. She was found guilty by the jury and directed to pay $4 million in damages.[5] Tasha K later filed for bankruptcy,[41] however Card B alleged that Tasha K kept offshore accounts,[42][43] and the judge ruled that Tasha K pay Cardi B damages regardless of the bankruptcy claim.[44][45] She later apologized to Cardi B.[46][47]

Kevin Hart filed a lawsuit against his former secretary, Miesha Shakes.[48][49] Tasha K was involved in the lawsuit because. Hart believed that his former secretary got malicious information about this life by eavesdropping on his private conversations and revealed them in her interview with Tasha K.[6][50][51] He also accused his secretary, Shakes, of violating her non-disclosure agreement (NDA).[52][53] The interview was recorded in November 2023, and despite a cease and desist letter from Hart, Kebe posted the interview on her website.[54][55] Hart later filed for the interview to be removed.[56] The judge dismissed the case.[57][4]

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and Tasha K were sued by singer R. Kelly for in a case that he alleged the BOP sold his digital prison records, including his phone calls to Tasha K.[58] Kelly’s lawyers alleged negligence, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil theft, civil conspiracy, and violation of the computer fraud and Abuse Act.[59] The Department of Justice's investigation found that at least 60 officers accessed his records, with one officer allegedly providing them to Tasha K.[7] Kelly claims the leaks included recordings of his phone calls with his legal team and girlfriend, which left him isolated and fearful to communicate with his attorneys.[60]

Soulja Boy sued Tasha K and reality star William The Baddest for defamation, violation of privacy, amongst other allegations over homosexual allegations they spread about him.[61][62] Although Soulja Boy vehemently denied the allegations,[63][64] on Tasha K's podcast, William The Baddest claimed t that he had a sexual encounter with Soulja Boy, describing explicit details.[65][66]
