The 20893/20894 Tatanagar - Patna Vande Bharat Express is India's upcoming Vande Bharat Express train, connecting the industrial city of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand with the metropolitan capital city of Patna in Bihar.

This express train is slated to be inaugurated on September 15, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.[1][2][3][4][5][6]

Overview

This train will be operated by Indian Railways, connecting Tatanagar Jn and Patna Jn.[7][8] It will be operated with train numbers 20893/20894 on 4 days a week basis.

Rakes

It will be the upcoming 2nd Generation and Mini Vande Bharat 2.0 Express train which will be designed and manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory at Perambur, Chennai under the Make in India Initiative.[9]

Service

The 20893/20894 Tatanagar - Patna Vande Bharat Express will operate 4 days a week, covering a distance of 451 km (280 mi) in a travel time of 07 hrs 15 mins with average speed of 62 km/h. The Maximum Permissible Speed (MPS) will be confirmed after commercial run.
