Template:Cite Tas Parliament/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This citation template produces formatted references to the Parliament of Tasmania's "members" biographical database, which contains information on all Tasmania members of parliament, including former members.

Usage

[edit]

Copy a blank version to use. Almost all parameter names are supported only in lower case (some initialisms, such as |isbn= have upper-case aliases like |ISBN=, which are acceptable for use). Use the "|" (pipe) character between each parameter. Unused parameters may be deleted to avoid clutter in the edit window. Some samples on this documentation page may include the current date. If the date is not current, then purge the page.

Most commonly used parameters in horizontal format
{{Cite Tas Parliament |id= |name= |access-date=}}
Most commonly used parameters in vertical format
{{Cite Tas Parliament
 | id		=
 | name		=
 | access-date	=
}}

Required parameters:

  • id: "Member id", corresponds to the end of the URL of the database entry. https://www.parliament.tas.gov.au/resources/about-parliament/historyindex/members/####.html For example, for the entry on Jeremy Rockliff, the "id" is rockliffj733.
  • name: The name of the member. Consider using the form given in the relevant database entry. For example, for the entry on Sir Edward Braddon, the name in the entry is given as "Sir Edward Nicholas Coventry Braddon".

Optional parameters:

  • access-date: The date when the entry was accessed.
