Template:Descript-tv-capt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Screen capture from Series (Run dates).

Call: {{Descript-tv-capt|Series|Episode|Original air date|Series run dates|AN = Article notation|grammer = y}}

The first 4 "fields" are positional:

  • "Series" is the show's title and should be as initially run. The template will automatically italicize the text.
  • "Episode" in the episodes title as originally aired. The template will automatically add quotation marks. This will only show if the original air date is present.
  • "Original air date" is self explained. This is not set up to take into account a difference between date formatting at this time.
  • "Series run dates" is the year(s) the show ran. This is a default the template looks for if the original air date is omitted.

The other two fields are:

  • AN - This is a flag for the template being used in an article. The effect is:
    (without AN)
    "Screen capture from the Show episode "Title" (original air date June 10, 2000)."
    (With AN)
    |AN = The main characters
    "The main characters from the Show episode "Title" (original air date June 10, 2000)."
  • grammer - This flag can be set if the show title contains a definite article. This only affects the show/episode version of the template's output.
