1874 Transit of Venus Expedition to Campbell Island

[edit]

Created/expanded by Maias (talk). Nominated by Maile66 (talk) at 15:02, 3 June 2012 (UTC)

  • Image provided is an illustration of the actual 1874 Transit of Venus, not the expedition team. Maile66 (talk) 19:50, 3 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Length and dates are OK. Hook fact is interesting. Article is adequately footnoted. AGF on hook source, as I could see only snippet views of the cited source (but I did see a general statement in support of the hook). No evidence of copyvio/plagiarism, based on what I could see of the sources. Image status looks OK. --Orlady (talk) 15:52, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
  • I added a linked source citation that Orlady added at Jacquemart Island. I think it also applies to the hook and Campbell Island. Maile66 (talk) 19:29, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
