1936 Summer Olympics torch relay

[edit]

Created/expanded by Violetriga (talk). Self nom at 00:30, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

I think this pic would not look good at 100px. --PFHLai (talk) 22:15, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
True, but a crop could work. violet/riga [talk] 23:08, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
  • This is an Olympics-related DYK nom. It would be nice to see this hook on MainPage before the 2012 Games are over. Can this nom be reviewed soon, please? Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 22:15, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
  • Sorry to be a complete pain in the ass, but there's one line which is uncited (despite how obvious it is to any Olympic boffins!) - "sufficient for it to be replicated in all Games thereafter" needs to have a citation for it. Once that's done I'll give the references a double check once I'm home tonight (doing this during my lunchbreak at work) and it should be good to go. I'm pretty sure I've seen a fair few images avaliable for the '36 torch relay which should be copyright expired - I'll double check this as well as it'd be nice to have an image to go with this hook as it's quite a significant moment in Olympic history. • I will try to find a source this evening but the DYK should be able to go ahead without this. violet/riga [talk] 12:35, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
