1961 Indonesian census
- ... that the 1961 Indonesian census (commemorative stamp pictured) included an estimated population of Western New Guinea in lieu of enumeration because the territory was under Dutch occupation? Source: Population Trends in Indonesia, p. 170: "No enumeration was carried out in West Irian, which at the time of the census was still occupied by Dutch forces, but the census total does include an estimate for its population of about 700,000 persons."
- ALT1: ... that the 1961 Indonesian census (commemorative stamp pictured) was the country's first since 1930 and the first since gaining independence from the Netherlands? Source: Population Trends in Indonesia, p. 168: "The first census in the Republic of Indonesia was conducted sixteen years after the proclamation of independence in 1945 and thirty-one years after the last census of the colonial era in 1930."

- Comment: ALT1 can also be wikilinked to 1930 Dutch East Indies census, but it's still a stub that I haven't expanded yet.
