Nominated on same day as creation. Well over character requirement. Inline citations used where necessary, spotchecks revealed no issues. Earwig only picking up quotes. QPQ done. Hook is short enough, neutral, interesting and cited, I prefer original, although I would consider focussing on just one aspect of the race (the position of the winning driver or the time of day it was held) and removing the other clause to make it snappier. (is 'annual' necessary?)

This is a clear pass, but I would appreciate an opinion from the nominator about trimming the hook. – Teratix ₵ 23:51, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

ALT1 seems the most interesting. It may be a good idea to include the image of Earnhardt in the hook, but otherwise this is good to go. – Teratix ₵ 09:08, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
