8th Missouri Infantry Regiment (Confederate)
- ... that the 8th Missouri Infantry Regiment (Confederate) was considered a cavalry regiment, infantry regiment, and an infantry battalion at different points of its existence? Sources 15 and 16 in the text, cited inline at three different points
- ALT1:... that while 166 men died while serving in the 8th Missouri Infantry Regiment (Confederate), only 25 of the deaths were combat-related? Source 33 in the text

- This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline and either hook could be used, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Assuming good faith as, although the McGhee source was mostly available online, I did not wade through the voluminous text to verify the hook facts, and page 213 was unavailable anyway. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:06, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
