Acle Straight

[edit]
  • ... that the Acle Straight in Norfolk has had reports of ghosts walking into the middle of the road? Source: "A driver passing the Halvergate turn-off ... on their way to Acle watched in horror as a middle-aged man walked out into the centre of the road from the right-hand side and into the path of their car. With no time to stop, the figure turned to look at the driver and as he did so, the car passed straight through him ... Eighteen months after the Halvergate spirit was spotted, [he] was driving on the Acle bypass towards Hemsby at around 7am when he had to slam his brakes on in order to miss hitting someone who had stepped out in front of his car." East Anglian Daily Times
    • ALT1:... that a pub on the Acle Straight is now a Hindu temple? Source: "Planners are being asked for permission to turn a run-down eaterie halfway down the A47 Acle Straight into a place of worship and centre for festivals like Diwali. If allowed it would be the first of its kind in Norfolk." Great Yarmouth Mercury

  • QPQ done, in time, long enough, within policy, no copyvio, hook is interesting and sourced. Good to go! ALT1 seems better! FITINDIA 18:51, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote ALT1, but the 2 sources which mention the temple speak of it in planning terms. Do you have a source verifying that it was indeed converted into a temple? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 19:59, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I added the Great Yarmouth Mercury source as a backup. Restoring tick per Fitindia's review. Yoninah (talk) 20:15, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
