Adrian Long

  • ... that Adrian Long was the first Northern Irish president of the Institution of Civil Engineers? "Last night's event was presided over by Prof Adrian Long of Queen's University, Belfast, the first Northern Irishman to be president of the British Institution of Civil Engineers." from "Humanitarian needs highlighted". • @Dumelow: This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. I would give this a tick, but I think a hook about the FlexiArch would be more interesting to the general reader. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:53, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Hi Cwmhiraeth, I was wary of sounding too promotional. How about:
  • ALT1: ... that Adrian Long developed the FlexiArch precast concrete bridge arch (pictured)?
  • ALT2: ... that
  • ALT3: ... that Adrian Long's FlexiArch precast bridge arch (pictured) contains no corrodable elements and has a 300-year design life?
Thanks - Dumelow (talk) 08:53, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
