Andean orogeny
[edit]- ... that the Andes have risen significantly in the last 30 millions years?
- ALT1:... that the Andean orogeny is the last in a series of orogenies along the western margin of South America?
- ALT2:... that in Jurassic and Early Cretaceous time, the Andean orogeny was characterized by extensional tectonics?

- Substantial article on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF. How about an image? Please write more lead. "Andes" sounds like a plural term to me, which would require "have risen". I like the original hook best ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:39, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review Gerda Arendt. I made the change you suggested [1]. I will expand more on the lead but have so far waited as the article has been continuously expanding. Sietecolores (talk) 05:21, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
- , thank you! - I also write the lead last ;) + it was just a suggestion, not a DYK rule, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:28, 7 January 2016 (UTC)
