Anthonio Hurdt[edit]

  • ... that in 1678 Anthonio Hurdt was appointed to lead the forces of the Dutch East India Company for the Kediri campaign in Java, despite his lack of experience in Java or in military command? Source: "Command over the expeditionary force was assigned to Anthonio Hurdt, ... who know little of Java and had hardly any military experience." (Ricklefs 1993 p. 48)

Interesting life, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. I trust that you will copy the ref to the sentence about the year, and will fix that no ref points to the 2008 book. Please also add projects to the talk, to attract project members to check. I'd add an infobox ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:01, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, Gerda Arendt, just FYI I did all your suggestions. HaEr48 (talk) 19:45, 17 June 2017 (UTC)
