  • (alt)... that Armamalai Cave in Tamil Nadu has tempera cave paintings which are similar to the techniques of the Bagh Caves?
  • I have added and copyeditted to this article and I suggest the alternative hook above which is reliably sourced. As far as I can see the article is otherwise compliant with DYK rules. alt Hook needs approval by @Gfosankar or other. QPQ has been done. Victuallers (talk) 13:06, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

  • Question? Citations in 13 places in the article, with 7 citations derived from 6 sources, of which 2 are tourist guides, and 2 others involve brief mentions of Armamalai.
  • checkY The article appears to be free of close paraphrasing and copyright violations.
  • checkY The hook is 94 characters, is interesting, is present in the article, and is formatted properly.
  • Question? The hook is dependent on three citations from two sources:
  • The first one is wondermondo.com which appears to be largely the work of one person, although it is a fairly substantial and detailed website. It wouldn't be a problem if the author was a recognised authority on the subject matter but they point out on their "about" page and the related "website" that they are qualified in geology and environmental administration. I'm not sure if that qualifies them as a reliable source for Wikipedia purposes, let alone DYK.
  • The second source is madhya-pradesh-tourism.com which appears to be run by a "travel agency", although it is also a fairly substantial website. The hook relies on a brief mention in an article about the Bagh caves, which makes it of questionable use for DYK purposes.
  • Question? ALT1 is 109 characters and is formatted properly but it also depends on madhya-pradesh-tourism.com.
  • I'm not opposed to keeping these two sources but the hook and ALT1 definitely need at least one additional reliable source to support it.

  • The separate "Information" section should be merged with the lead paragraph because the article is fairly short.
