August Soller[edit]

Expanded 5x by Ultracobalt (talk). Self-nominated at 05:53, 9 January 2017 (UTC).

5x expansion, meets policy requirements, no copyvio detected. Hook reflects what's in the article and is interesting and of sufficient length, but the statement in the article is not directly verified by a source per Rule 3b of the eligibility criteria. Stick an appropriate source in after that sentence and I reckon this is ready to promote. Yunshui  14:58, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
What do you think about
ALT1: ... that German architect August Soller died during construction of his greatest work, and was buried there before it was finished?
If the church is mentioned, I'd suggest to use the German name and add Berlin, because others Michel are more famous. The church article also has a ref problem that should be fixed before putting it on the Main page ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:51, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
I fixed the church link and in the process found several more refs had wrong ISBNs among other minor probs. Dunno what went wrong there! I reformatted each and re-retrieved all... they're in the same order so I hope I didn't complicate things for your review. I finally clarified the hook timeline to make it clear what ref goes with what. ALT1 is definitely more clear with the pipe... if the church name is used with Berlin then multiple commas will make it harder to read. Ultracobalt (talk) 22:27, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Personally I'm not fussed one way or the other on having the church named in the hook; Gerda has a point but I'll leave it up to the promoter which version to use. The source is offline and in German, so I'm going to have to AGF, but it is now cited at the end of the sentence in the article, and given that there are no other problems, I think this can be safely pushed into the prep queue. Thanks both! Format question: There is no pic of this guy besides the tombstone, but would an Architect Infobox with that image be a good addition before it goes thru the pipeline? Ultracobalt (talk) 18:32, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Yes, with or without image. I just had a similar case. The image could also show one of his buildings, with a proper caption. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:52, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
Infobox added! Going with ALT hook by Gerda. Ultracobalt (talk) 18:22, 25 January 2017 (UTC)
