Auguste Bonheur[edit]

La Sortie du pâturage

  • ... that Auguste Bonheur's prizewinning painting La Sortie du pâturage (pictured) was made a lottery prize by the French government as a way of promoting contemporary art?

Length, history and reference verified. I much prefer the original hook; not only do I dislike hooks that suggest someone is interesting only because of who they're related to, in this one the related person isn't even linked, suggesting they're not notable. I have rewriten the hook to flow better, also. Daniel Case (talk) 06:32, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the rewrite, which is a definite improvement- would "medal-winning" be better (just to avoid repeating "prize")? Or award-winning? Xanthomelanoussprog (talk) 09:37, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Daniel Case, Rosa Bonheur is major celebrity, Xanty is new in DYK's - or it was me - who forgot - so here you go - just read about her, Rosa Bonheur is absolute a major painter in this genre. Absolutely famous, well know and big stuff. Hafspajen (talk) 15:20, 27 November 2014 (UTC)
