  • New and long enough, but with many paragraphs missing references, the article needs more work before it is eligible to appear on the Main Page. I also question the need for such a long title; most cited sources refer to the monument by a shorter name. Surtsicna (talk) 00:28, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
Added or copied souces to the rest of the paragraphs. Looks to me that pretty much all the sources that came after the designation use the full name, as do most others. Long enough, new enough, and now properly sourced. I have not detected any copyright issues. The hooks are as concise as they can be considering the title of the article and reasonably interesting. I will leave a hook suggestion in case someone would like to review the ALT2 hook before those already approved are promoted. Surtsicna (talk) 17:00, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

ALT2: ... that after years of tribal and conservationist campaigning, US President Joe Biden declared a culturally important area around the Grand Canyon to be a national monument in order to protect it from uranium mining?
