  • New enough, long enough, and properly cited (offline refs accepted AGF), but I feel the hook could be made more interesting. How about
ALT1: ... that the Balaban Aga Mosque in Istanbul (pictured), built in the Byzantine era, was demolished in 1930 because it stood in the way of a new road?
