Bao Zhao[edit]

  • ... that fifth-century poet Bao Zhao was executed after the failed rebellion of the child prince he served under?
  • Reviewed: Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, BWV 140
  • Comment: Sorry the nomination is 3-4 days late. I thought of nominating it a few days ago, but got sidetracked. It's a well written article on a scholarly subject, hopefully we can apply WP:IAR here.

  • Long enough. New enough. Neutral tone. Well cited throughout. Essentially relies on one source (Knechtges) but it's a reliable source. I can't see the cited pages in the cited edition on Google Books but another edition exists, and it checks out. (There's another source--part of a doctoral dissertation by Chen--that seems to paint a much more complete picture but I'll mention it in the article's talk page.) QPQ done. The hook can be more interesting/improved. Hybernator (talk) 00:11, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that fifth-century poet Bao Zhao was executed following the failed rebellion of a child prince?
@Hybernator: Thanks for your review and new source. Do you think ALT1 is better? Providing less information probably makes the hook more intriguing. -Zanhe (talk) 00:17, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Yes, ALT1 is more concise and effective. Hybernator (talk) 00:20, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, I've stricken the original hook. -Zanhe (talk) 00:27, 12 December 2015 (UTC)
