Battle of Baykand
[edit]... that during the Battle of Baykand near Bukhara, the vanguard and main body of the Umayyad army were cut off from each other for two days?

- Nice new GA of sufficient length, well written and reffed. No picture offered. My suggestion is that you give it some geographic context by mentioning that this is in what is now called Uzbekistan. (and in the article?). This is an AGF tick if we can get a better hook. Can I suggest a hook like the one below?
