Bill Bowman (Scottish politician)[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by Curlymanjaro (talk). Self-nominated at 17:49, 23 May 2019 (UTC).

  • A more interesting hook is required. RRD (talk) 03:35, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
  • Respectfully, this is hardly a review. How is this not interesting? What angle would you like to see covered instead? Curlymanjaro (talk) 12:03, 27 May 2019 (UTC)
@Curlymanjaro: There had been many MPs who worked at a different country before being elected to Parliament. Ex. Sugata Bose had been teaching in US for a long time before getting elected in 2014. RRD (talk) 06:19, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
  • And that's not interesting? A Scottish man spending more than a decade in Romania certainly stands out among his demographic, as does Bose through his exploits in the UK and America. I don't mean to be contrarian, I just believe this hook satisfies the criterion. Open to more comments. Curlymanjaro (talk) 14:58, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

I personally disagree with RRD: I think that a politician spending a long part of their life in a foreign country, particularly if it was close to when their term began, is interesting. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:28, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

(Agree with the above) Newly promoted GA, cited and interesting hook, use of fair image, article follows all guidelines. RRD (talk) 11:16, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
