Black-breasted Thrush[edit]

Male Black-breasted Thrush

5x expanded by Bloom6132 (talk). Self nominated at 00:46, 16 January 2014 (UTC).

  • @Bloom6132: This is a nice article, a former stub expanded x5. The article is long enough and has been expanded recently enough, with sufficient referencing. The hook is interesting, but I'd cut off the end as it is a little confusing at the moment - i.e. remove the "even though they are concentrated..." bit. The image is encyclopedic, used in the article (an FP as well) - no obvious close paraphrasing. If you would be happy to change the hook per my suggestions, or explain why I'm wrong (which is highly probable), then I'd be more than happy to green-tick this! :) Acather96 (click here to contact me) 19:21, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Fixed. Thanks for pointing that out! —Bloom6132 (talk) 19:43, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Note to promotor: POTD on January 23rd and 30th are images of pretty birds, too. It may be a good idea to use this DYK nom on another day. Thanks. --PFHLai (talk) 22:58, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Note to promotor: The suggested pic is actually scheduled to be POTD on February 5th. Please do not use the same pic twice on MainPage within a mere few weeks. If we really have to use the suggested pic on DYK, maybe somehow the POTD can be delayed, and let another pic get the exposure on MainPage. --PFHLai (talk) 12:33, 19 January 2014 (UTC) I've started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Did you know#FPs on DYK about this issue. --PFHLai (talk) 13:12, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
  • DYKChecker confirms size and expansion requirements-- this is my first review, so I'll leave it there. --HectorMoffet (talk) 20:16, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
