Black Widow (song)
[edit]... that Iggy Azalea's "Black Widow" was co-written by Katy Perry?
- Comment: I would ask for a bit of flexibility with its newness, because I waited for a bit so I could guarantee its stability.
Created by Launchballer (talk), Ignorantart (talk), Coolmarc (talk), and 86.146.152.207 (talk). Nominated by Launchballer (talk) at 12:39, 5 May 2014 (UTC).
- Launchballer Hmm, well the length, date, and hook is verified. However, ignoring the notability problem, I do not think the hook alone is an interesting factoid. Why did Katy Perry volunteer to compose the song? If you can find a reason why she did, then I think it be more interesting. Erick (talk) 01:46, 11 May 2014 (UTC)
- This is what I get when I don't add nominations to User:Launchballer/Did you know/nominations which I use to keep track of comments. Perry was initially going to feature on the track but pulled out at the last minute as she was too busy.--Launchballer 08:47, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Alright how about ALT1: ... that Iggy Azalea's "Black Widow", which was co-written by Katy Perry, was originally intended to be a duet with both singers? Erick (talk) 15:43, 20 May 2014 (UTC)

Source for alternate hook verified. I already checked the date and length above so everything else is good to go! Nice work! Erick (talk) 17:05, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
- Since Erick proposed ALT1 (which I've just numbered for clarity), he can't also review it. Calling on new reviewer for ALT1, and also checks that don't seem to have been done in the original review, including close paraphrasing and neutrality. There's also one sentence in Critical reception that clearly needs fixing, the one about four songs "you have to hear": there's no context, which is that these are four songs from her album, in addition to the two singles, that people should listen to. - Update: Coolmarc has since drastically rewritten the article, more than quintupled its length, and submitted it to WP:GAN. As a result, I think a complete new full review needs to be done by the new reviewer, which includes making sure the hook is still supported. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:23, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
- New enough (as of 29 April) and although it was nominated on 5 May, two reviewers above have already accepted the nom date and that's fine by me. Length is OK. No need for QPQ because it's not a self-nom. No problem with disambig links. Four external links are flagged as redirects, but they work fine, so no problem. ALT1 checks out with the video soundtrack in online citation #2. The article is excellent as far as I can see, and only lacks an image of the songwriter (e.g. File:Iggy Brit Awards 13.jpg) which could have been used to great effect in the hook, but this does not prevent DYK promotion. Good to go. --Storye book (talk) 11:26, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
