Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang, Kwee Tek Hoay
[edit]( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
- ... that The Teng Chun's Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang was based on a serial by Kwee Tek Hoay?
- Reviewed: Owls (Millennium), The Hand of St. Sebastian
- Comment: BRTj is written by me, KTH is not a self nomination.

- The hook is quite dull. Can anything else be said about these articles that might be of general interest? Sasata (talk) 09:27, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Do you have any suggestions which keep the author and 1931 film together? Perhaps ... that although the 1931 adaptation of Kwee Tek Hoay's Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang kept the Chinese characters, the 1975 one did not? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 11:57, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Anyone? — Crisco 1492 (talk) 16:01, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- Both articles look fine - date, length etc - and are well written and sourced. (AGF, necessarily, on the Indonesian-language sources). I think they are both good to go but I suggest an alternative hook as follows:
- ALT1: ... that Boenga Roos dari Tjikembang, a 1931 film based on a book by Kwee Tek Hoay about the love lives of Chinese Indonesians, is likely to now be a lost film?
- Let me know what you think. Prioryman (talk) 09:03, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. As noted at Terang Boelan, the majority of Indies films may be lost. I'm not sure how hooky that is. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 09:16, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
