Boston Irish Famine Memorial

[edit]

Moved to mainspace by Dumelow (talk). Self-nominated at 19:40, 18 October 2017 (UTC).

New, length OK, cited, no copyvio. Hook, fine (if not what I would have chosen, maybe gone with least liked public art.) Is there a problem w/ QPQ? Djflem (talk) 20:33, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
I have added ALT2, if you prefer that? I don't know what the issue is at the QPQ but i have asked the nominator - Dumelow (talk) 22:23, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
@Djflem, all sorted over at Template:Did you know nominations/Laureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year now - Dumelow (talk) 18:50, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
All seems in order. Added coord template. Both hooks are fine; prefer the 2nd, but not big issue.Djflem (talk) 19:20, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
  • As the US does not have freedom of panorama for sculptural works, it seems unlikely that the image is allowable. Do we have any indication that these images are free or PD? If no, we will likely need to host one locally as fair use and delete the others. Nikkimaria (talk) 13:41, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi Nikki. Thanks for letting me know, I had no idea this was the case - I couldn't imagine not owning the copyright of a photograph I have taken in a public space but reading the article I see it is quite common worldwide. I didn't upload the photos, they were already on Commons. I will remove them from the article and replace them with a fair-use version. Removing image from this nom - Dumelow (talk) 16:04, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
Sounds good - I've nommed the images for deletion on Commons. Nikkimaria (talk) 16:49, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
