Breaking the Habit (film)

[edit]

5x expanded by Skr15081997 (talk). Self-nominated at 14:49, 24 March 2018 (UTC).

  • Good to go in my view. Is long enough (1526 chars). Was expanded 5x (since 24 Mar 2018). Doesn't show any signs of CLOP (per Earwig's tool). Hook is cited (and reliable). Content/subject within policy. And QPQ is demonstrated/met. For myself I might focus on the anti-smoking/cancer angle in the hook (given the decade it was made). Perhaps something like: "... that Breaking the Habit is a 1964 Oscar-nominated short which highlighted the medical issues caused by smoking". But this is an entirely subjective note. Objectively this is GTG with the proposed hook. Guliolopez (talk) 16:31, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
  • @Guliolopez: Let's formulate your hook suggestion into ALT1. If you like it, could you give it a tick?
  • ALT1 ... that the 1964 Oscar-nominated short film Breaking the Habit highlighted the medical issues caused by smoking? Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:17, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Agreed. ALT1 preferred/confirmed/GTG. Guliolopez (talk) 08:29, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but ALT1 seems pretty staid. What do you think about using the actual quote from the source?
  • ALT2: ... that the 1964 Academy Award-nominated short film Breaking the Habit exposes "the danger and the essential silliness of smoking"? Yoninah (talk) 20:24, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Personally I prefer ALT1. Perhaps based on the fact that ALT2 doesn't attribute the quote/POV. But that's entirely my subjective opinion :) ALT2 is perfectly good to promote, so am happy to support it. Guliolopez (talk) 08:33, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. Restoring your tick. Promoter can choose between ALT1 and ALT2. Yoninah (talk) 16:24, 23 April 2018 (UTC)
