  • OK, I don't know if this is the best hook for the article, but it's verified. The article itself seems well-verified, and while it can do with some cleanup, it's good enough for DYK. Also, long enough, well-verified, etc. Bermicourt, well done and thank you. It's high time I teach my kids to play Klaverjas--thanks for the reminder. Drmies (talk) 03:05, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
  • Hi, @Bermicourt:, I came to promote this hook, but I agree with Drmies that the hook needs some reworking. I appreciate that 'daring and tormenting' is a translation of the German 'Wagen und Plagen'. However, there isn't enough context in the hook to make it obvious that these terms are tactics within the game. Perhaps you want to rephrase the hook to clarify this?
