Caesium auride[edit]

  • ... that Caesium auride (pictured) is an ionic compound between two metals. The compound has no metallic properties because the free electrons of both metals are used up, but the compound still retains the colours of both metals?
  • Comment: Nomination originally pasted on to Template talk:Did you know without the benefit of a properly formatted nominations page.

  • Quick check finds multiple problems with this nomination. First, the article contains only 793 characters of readable prose. This is below the minimum DYK requirement. As the article contained 529 characters of readable prose on February 12, 2015, a minimum of 2645 is required for this article to qualify. Second, the suggested hook is over 200 characters in length. It is also traditional for the hook to be a single sentence. A new hook is needed. --Allen3 talk 00:24, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
