Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game

[edit]

Created by G S Palmer (talk). Self-nominated at 21:58, 8 February 2017 (UTC).

  • New enough (created by G S Palmer on February 3, 2017), long enough (2,163 characters "readable prose size"), fully referenced. QPQ required.
    • Main hook: sources do not support the claim that the RPG was from 1981
      • Corrected. Hook now fine. Hawkeye7 (talk) 09:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
    • ALT1: Not supported by the source - it says by the same studio, but not inspired by it
    • ALT2, ALT3, ALT4: Source says one year, not two
Hawkeye7 (talk) 06:37, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Main hook: I didn't think it was strictly necessary, since it was stated quite clearly in the linked article, but I've added a source showing that it came out in 1981.
  • ALT1: the article says "We're going to bring our experience with making Sherlock Holmes games - particularly the investigation side," - I'm not sure what else to take out of that. I could change it to "inspired by their work on the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
  • ALT2/3/4: perhaps it was confusing because of the way I had organized the sources (which I have now fixed), but the source for the statement was this one.
    • And mine is this one, which says (in March 2016) that they "announced last year that they were working on a game based on HP Lovecraft’s classic story Call of Cthulhu." That was in 2015. So only one year. Why not just drop the "two teats of" from the hooks?
  • @Hawkeye7: If you read the article, you'll see that the game was announced in January 2014. It was revived in February 2016. That's two years and a month. Your source did the math wrong. G S Palmer (talkcontribs) 17:19, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Okay, passing the three ALT hooks, which are preferred. Hawkeye7 (talk) 19:43, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
  • As for the QPQ, I've been rather busy lately but should be able to do one within a day or two.

  • Since a QPQ has not yet been supplied, adding icon to prevent promotion until it has been. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:32, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
