Cape Cornwall Mine
[edit]- ... that the chimney of Cape Cornwall Mine (pictured) has a plaque in the shape of a Heinz Baked Beanz label set into its base?
- Reviewed: Håkon Opdal.
- Comment - I don't really want to go into much explanation (i.e. "...to commemorate Heinz's donation of the site to the nation" or some such) as IMO it spoils the "WTF" factor which will hopefully make people read it. Although this picture shows just the chimney and not the whole mine, if this runs with a picture I really want it to be this one - the chimney is of almost identical design to a Heinz sauce bottle. - - QPQ, date, length etc. all fine. Offline sources accepted in good faith. Image licensing (Geograph) acceptable for this or the plaque image. I agree with nom that the shorter hook is better, the chimney picture is better than the plaque as well, as it would be unreadable at small res anyway - Dumelow (talk) 13:45, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
