Carl Johannes Edwards

Benedicite window in Liverpool Cathedral

Created by Peter I. Vardy (talk). Self nominated at 15:21, 23 November 2014 (UTC).

  • The article is new (not more than seven days old), has achieved the quota for length (the article has around 2,000 characters), there are some references, and the hook had an inline citation (though not available for checking online). I think it would be good enough as per general DYK guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arius1998 (talkcontribs) 02:02, 24 November 2014‎ (UTC)
  • Full review needed, as the one above was incomplete as well as unsigned. Checks for neutrality and close paraphrasing have not been done, as well as whether there are sufficient references (rule of thumb is at least one per paragraph). If the hook source is not online, then the AGF tick should be used. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:12, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
  • New enough, long enough, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen in online source. Offline hook sources AGF. I don't see much information about him on Google, but the sources seem to indicate minor notability. Image is freely licensed. QPQ done. I would suggest strengthening the hook with an additional factoid:
  • ALT1: ... that the Benedicite window (pictured) in Liverpool Cathedral, designed by Carl Edwards, covers an area of 1,600 square feet (150 m2)? Yoninah (talk) 11:36, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the review, the addition and the suggestion. That's fine by me. --Peter I. Vardy (talk) 11:58, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
  • As I can't approve my own hook, could another reviewer sign off on this please? Yoninah (talk) 18:08, 9 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Approving ALT1, the additional fact being cited offline and accepted in good faith. Ready to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:39, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
