Carman Barnes

[edit]
  • ... that author Carman Barnes' scandalous novel Schoolgirl, published when she was only sixteen, got her kicked out of school?

  • Article is long enough and new enough. Hook is interesting; I've not yet looked up the source on highbeam to verify the sourcing of it. Unfortunately, I find too-close paraphrasing of content from this source. That needs to be resolved. Also, the hook could be made even more interesting by rewording:
  • ALT1 ... that author Carman Barnes published her first novel when she was only sixteen, and was kicked out of school because of it? --Orlady (talk) 21:56, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Ack, that's embarrassing, but thank you for catching it. Hopefully, I've removed all of it now. Gamaliel (talk) 22:25, 21 February 2013 (UTC)
Much better. The article is adequately footnoted and the hook fact is verified with the source that was accessible to me on HighBeam. All is good! --Orlady (talk) 02:48, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
