Overall:
  1. In general, the article is neutral. One opportunity is "This was a tremendously valuable resource to generations of Wellesley women." to either find a quote from a secondary source or reword this sentence, since this is coming from her bio in CSWEP News with the her daughter's assistance it is not an independent source. A news source for this info would be better. Rewording the "tremendously valuable..." sentence, which is not encyclopedic, it another way to resolve the issue.
  2. Regarding the first hook, it seems that from the sources it would be more accurate to say "established a model that sent a disproportionate number of students..." - but perhaps this is getting a little long.
  3. The alternate hook looks good.
