  • ... that an illustration (pictured) of the Cartwrightia scarab Cartwrightia cartwrighti was printed on the invitations for entomologist Oscar Ling Cartwright's retirement party? Source: "As part of his description of that species, he included a beautiful illustration of it drawn by a friend and Scientific Illustrator, Elsie Herbold Froeschner. This illustration appeared as a logo on the invitation to his retirement party and on a gift of stationery he received at the party." [1]

  • These two articles are long enough and new enough. The various hook facts are cited inline and the image is in the public domain. The articles are neutral and I detected no policy issues. I will leave the choice of hook to the promoter. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:04, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
Thanks! I just realized having ALT2 end with "was named by Oscar Ling Cartwright after his brother" made it sound really awkward so I've struck the final three words, but that shouldn't be an issue. Umimmak (talk) 19:44, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
