Chained to the Rhythm

[edit]

  • - Date, Ref, Length, and QPQ all check out. Mifter (talk) 05:22, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
    • @Mifter: You're review is incomplete. It does not mention a copyvio check, or the hook length, etc. Pppery 21:44, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- The copyvio check was performed and cleared with the review (in the future I will note it explicitly) and the hook length is also fine. Mifter (talk) 21:48, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
    • @Mifter: The hook is wrong though. She left disco balls in various continents. How is cities an accurate representation of something that was so much bigger?--Shane Cyrus (talk) 07:33, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Don't be ridiculous Shane; various continents would also imply various cities, and cities is enough to show it went in lots of different places. Snuggums (talk / edits) 13:52, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not sure I follow your logic, the cites all state that the chained music players were left in multiple cities. The fact that the hook author chose to only mention cities when those cities are on multiple continents does not make the hook incorrect. If you'd like to propose an ALT then you are welcome to do so however the hook is accurate as written and cited. Mifter (talk) 03:45, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
ALT1: that to promote her single "Chained to the Rhythm", Katy Perry left disco balls playing the song in various continents?

@Mifter: --Shane Cyrus (talk) 12:58, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

Why not "in various cities around the world" because frankly "in various continents" sounds terrible? Brojam (talk) 20:33, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
I honestly see no good reason not to go with "cities"; it is concise, properly cited, accurate, and doesn't read awkwardly. Snuggums (talk / edits) 00:19, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Coming to promote this, I can't find the hook fact in the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:04, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Cwmhiraeth, look in the "Release" section of the article, which begins with On February 8, 2017, in a global campaign for "Chained to the Rhythm", fans around the globe hunted for disco balls and shared their findings as part of a new promotional push. Snuggums (talk / edits) 14:26, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Well I saw that, but I didn't think it was sufficient to support the hook. Let's ask @Mifter: to refresh the tick if he/she is happy with it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:59, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Cwmhiraeth: - I reworded part of the release section to clearly state that the disco balls were left. As the article has undergone a number of edits since I reviewed it I suspect the original hook wording was diluted over time. Should be good to go for the original hook. Mifter (talk) 19:18, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, that's much better. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 19:20, 25 February 2017 (UTC)
