Characters in the Animal Crossing series

  • Reviewed: Vermilion flycatcher
  • Comment: Not sure if this is DYK worthy because so much of it is plot detail (and thus uncited), but figured I'd submit anyways.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Earwig flagged some close paraphrasing that needs some editing. The hooks are somewhat blah. Can you expand the lede to make the article more DYK worthy? --evrik (talk) 15:54, 24 May 2020 (UTC)

  • @Evrik: I can work on expanding the lede, but it looks like the close paraphrasing is coming from a somewhat suspect website that is just directly plagiarizing Wikipedia; I get an alert from my antivirus software when I try to access it. Morgan695 (talk) 16:51, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
  • Changing rating on copyvio per comments above. --evrik (talk) 00:56, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
  • @Evrik: Actually looking at this now, I submitted this on a whim and really don't have the time or desire to expand it further, so unless another editor wants take this nomination up, I'd like to withdraw it from DYK. Morgan695 (talk) 19:19, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
  • @Morgan695: If you change your mind, I would suggest some text that talks about the popularity of the characters, like "everybody loves Raymond" especially in his maid's outfit. --evrik (talk) 00:56, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
