Charles Lyon Chandler[edit]

  • ... that Charles Lyon Chandler's biography of Joel Roberts Poinsett went unpublished after two others came out the same year? Source: "Chandler and Pratt raced to finish their biography in 1935, but J. Fred Rippy beat them by publishing his Poinsett biography first. Shortly thereafter Herbert E. Putnam published an account of Poinsett's diplomatic career. ... Chandler's attempts to have his biography published by Princeton and Harvard University Presses were unsuccessful due to the glutted market." Avenius, "Charles Lyon Chandler", p. 177.

  • This article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright or plagiarism issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:24, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
